Growing up on the Coast of Maine, my favorite summers were spent as a
camp counselor at Tanglewood 4-H Camp, where the days were filled
with learning and laughter. And where the concepts of conservation, no
waste and respect for the environment were first instilled in me. After
college I moved to Michigan, then Texas, and now my husband and I live
in Southern Maryland.
Prior to starting my freelance writing career in 2004, I spent 12 years in
the business world where I worked for companies large and small in a
variety of industries, which gave me the perspective and experience I
needed to become a writer.
My current writing interests include business, eco-friendly pursuits and
personal essays on random events in my life. In my spare time I enjoy
reading, sewing, cooking, practicing kung fu and hanging out with our two
dogs, Haylee and Dillon.
Locally, I serve the area of Southern Maryland, including Lexington Park,
Annapolis and Washington DC, but I'm available to work with clients
nationwide.
